The baby's of Jelgoons are referred to as Goolings. These are often born in clutches of 4 eggs. once hatched, the first few days they stay in the mothers den, we don't know what they look like at this stage as of yet, however after a week they come out an look like this.

Babies tent to be 3 to 4 inches long. They take 2 weeks from emerging to grow into a full adult. They are a lot more playful and carefree and even come up to the researchers at times. They are velvet soft and their "bones" are very soft and slightly squishy. Almost right after they come to us the parents often cycle them, hiss at us, an bring the Gooling away.
1. These tiny wings are always present, but they can not be used as they aren't fully developed. They must be tiny an only made of feathers at this stage.
2. These horns are always nubby but can be any shape, however, must be the same (at least somewhat) shape is it now for when it grows up. They are soft and squishy.
3. Their back toe is to help them run faster if a predator comes by, an separates into 2 when they become an adult, these feet are soft to the touch but are semi hard.
4. Their tail tip is much smaller compared to the adults as is the tail itself. The tail top can be any shape, but must be the same shape when they grow up. These tips are very soft an squishy as Goolings, but as adults are as strong an sharp as steel knives
5. Their spikes can be any shape, but must be sporadic on the body due to all the spikes not being developed yet. they maintain shape as they grow, they just multiply.
6. Their plates cover the same rules as their spikes. they must be present but only in a few places. most of the time there's 2 on the neck an two at the base of the tail, making these guys very vulnerable
